Living in the Real World app for iPhone and iPad

From a team of passionate librarians comes a brand new app designed to help Australians develop practical new skills. Following on from 40+ community events that were attended by around 500 people, this app details some of the key components of the sessions and outlines how to access various other learning materials.

Topics explored include:
• Attaining Australian Citizenship
• Centrelink & myGov Made Easy
• Energy Saving Ideas
• Financial Services Training
• Internet Safety Basics
• Job Ready Skills
• Scam Awareness

This app and the series of events that led to it is a joint presentation by Monash Public Library Service and Eastern Regional Libraries Corporation. Educational sessions were available across City of Monash, Knox City Council, Maroondah Council and Yarra Ranges Council.
